Flume Smart Home Water Monitor

Next Generation Irrigation Water Management

Rain Bird and Flume have partnered to offer the most complete whole home smart water management solution. Now homeowners will be able to track, measure and monitor water usage inside and outside the home. Through the Rain Bird and Flume Apps, homeowners will know exactly where they are using water, how much they are using, and they will be protected with leak monitoring. The combined solution will also quantify the outdoor water savings created from Smart Controllers, Rain Sensors and other water saving features offered in Rain Bird’s Controllers.

How It Works
Property owners will have peace of mind, as the two devices work together to monitor and detect irrigation system leaks to avoid water waste and subsequent property damage. Rain Bird's Smart controllers automatically adjust watering schedules based on weather conditions to reduce overwatering. The new partnership will link Rain Bird’s controllers with Flume’s water monitor systems, allowing property owners to quantify the savings generated by using Rain Bird’s Smart controller features. The combined system will also measure water usage by irrigation zone to enable the user to adjust irrigation needs more accurately. These features will be available to the homeowner via each company’s mobile app.

Specs

Most homeowners have 5/8" or 3/4" water meters. Flume can detect flow rates between 0.01 and 0.03 gallons per minute (GPM) or roughly one gallon per hour (GPH). That’s precise enough to catch a drippy faucet.
Larger 1" and 1 1/2" water meters, Flume can detect flow rates between 0.02 and 0.07 gallons per minute (GPM). That is still low enough to catch even the smallest of leaks.
Flume water monitor includes sensor with attachment straps, WiFi Bridge with power cord, meter lid tool and gloves.
