The Buyer Planner works closely with engineering, quality, and manufacturing groups to develop, implement, and manage the on-time completion of the Master Production Schedule.  Managerial experience meeting a dynamic market driven environment demands, such as: on time delivery strategies, inventory turns increase, warehouse management and profit and loss understanding is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Utilization of Materials Requirements Planning systems to offer 99.5+ customer service levels.
  • Actively participate in New Product Development projects as a Materials representative.
  • Maintain and develop stock programs as defined by Sales and Materials department.
  • Assure that problems relating to delivery, quality or production are promptly resolved in a timely manner per standard procedures.
  • Will be responsible to meet inventory targets for finish goods and raw materials.
  • Develop strategies to ensure material availability to meet production plans.
  • Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning understanding and execution.
  • Review invoices for purchased commodities as required by Accounts Payable
  • RAW and MRO system receipts.
  • Coordination of the warehouse team in inventory control, material receipts, shipments and cycle count inventory.
  • Monitor and expedite RM arrivals to meet delivery targets.
  • Continually work to improve quality, delivery and costs.
  • Assure that sales orders are entered into correctly and in an accurate and timely manner, and that all order information is complete.
  • Expertise managing high exposure projects, ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in manufacturing planning capacity.
  • Ability to read and create MRP reports, stock status reports, material variance reports, assembly and machining load reports, and customer order shortage report.
  • Responsible for the initial set-up phase of PeopleSoft by creating BOM’s, routers, transfer attributes, etc.
  • Coordinate the logistics portion of shipments to mee delivery dates according to Customer’s needs.
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business-related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in materials management, planning and/or operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership, and negotiation skills,
  • Successful track record of Achievements,
  • Ability to learn quickly and willingness to take on new challenges,
  • Skilled in PC applications and ERP systems experience,
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills,
  • Skillful managing sense of urgency
  • Team oriented individual.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • ERP Oracle, PeopleSoft Manufacturing experience
  • Ability to manage high exposure projects.
  • Lean manufacturing or Lean six sigma experience.
  • CPIM APICS.
