Area Sales Manager
The responsibilities of this position comprise growing Rain Bird's Landscape & Ag sales ahead of market growth, leading sales & marketing objectives, identifying and opening new distribution channels, and providing customers with product support. Responsibilities also include the development & execution of a strategic plan for the region.
The Area Sales Manager will be accountable for developing and implementing distribution and other business strategies that promote sustainable growth for the company in Egypt.
- Establish and manage a robust, high-performing distribution network.
- Achieve exceptional business results and market share growth.
- Investigate and dissect the market as it relates to market share, penetration and growth opportunities and develop an annual strategic plan to meet business growth goals and corporate objectives.
- Educate and influence customers on the value of Rain Bird’s products, their applications, and key benefits to drive product preference.
- Work closely with Rain Bird’s strategic business units in determining market needs, competitive information, and overall market trends.
- Differentiate Rain Bird from its competitors by providing superior customer service, high visibility to key accounts, and aggressive call coverage cycles.
- Implement novel approaches to accelerate Rain Bird’s influence with customers.
- Capability to become an accomplished leader that consistently achieves results and develops creative, customer-focused solutions to accelerate growth.
Business-to-business sales experience in the Landscape and agricultural, industrial products, or similar industries will be a major advantage. The successful candidate must also have a demonstrated ability to build rapport, develop strong customer relationships, and have a proven record of delivering meaningful business growth results.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10 years of successful product sales and/or specification experience.
- BA or BS degree or similar qualification
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both verbal and written form,
- Proactive, self-driven individual who achieves results both individually and through team leadership,
- Strategic thinking, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels, from a wide range of business functions,
- Willingness to accept new challenges and a strong desire to grow within the organization.
- Experience in working within a multinational organization.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Desired Qualifications:
- MBA
- Irrigation or allied Industry experience.
