MDC Decoder Systems
6 Hours $300 (6000 Rewards Points)
Learn proper hands-on installation, troubleshooting and programming skills. Installation includes proper wiring, splicing and system configuration. Attendees are taught how to use a clamp meter to perform proper   troubleshooting methods and how to program the controller and operate software.

Central Control Communications Solutions

This class will assist central control distributors, contractors, and end users to integrate, implement and install Ethernet network device servers and spread spectrum radios. Wired Ethernet, WiFi, fiber optic, and 900 MHz spread spectrum radio applications are covered. These communication solutions can be used with Maxicom®, SiteControl®, MDC and the new IQ central control systems. Hardware selection, placement and installation topics will be discussed. Hands-on exercises will take participant through proper programming, configuration, and troubleshooting methods. Hardware and support for these solutions are available through RBSC. Prior knowledge or experience with central controls, Ethernet networks, or data radio applications is recommended.

IQ Central Control Systems

This training introduces and defines the role of the system hardware components. Hands on installation activities with the computer, LXM-DTC, and communication options are included. This training will also introduce the participant to the software and its primary functions related to basic irrigation operation, monitoring, programming and reporting only. Scheduling complexity is equal to that of a stand-alone irrigation controller program. The participant should have working knowledge of the landscape irrigation system including sprinkler, valve, and controller installation. \

ET Manager Installation and Programming

Maxicom2® Hardware Level 1

Basic Installer Training is the beginning step for the contractor whose business includes Maxicom2® central control irrigation system installation. Training introduces and defines the role of the system hardware components. Hands-on installation activities with the central controller, Site SAT, Cluster Control Unit, Satellite, and flow sensors are included. The participant should have working knowledge of the landscape irrigation system including sprinkler, valve, and controller installation.

Maxicom2® Hardware Level 2

Intermediate Installer Training is designed as second step for the contractor whose business installs Maxicom2® central control irrigation system installation. This training includes all components in the Basic Installer Training with the addition of the weather station, site rain can, anemometer, and the Freedom System.

Maxicom2® Software Level 1

Basic Operator Training is the second step for the person responsible for Maxicom2® central control system programming, monitoring and reporting. This training will introduce the participant to the software and its primary functions related to basic irrigation operation, monitoring, programming and reporting only. Scheduling complexity is equal to that of a stand-alone irrigation controller program. This course requires that the attendee have a working knowledge of Windows 98/2000 or Windows XP-Pro.

Maxicom2® Software Level 2

Intermediate Operator Training is designed to introduce and instruct the end-user on the advanced operation of the Maxicom² Central Control system software, covering database manipulation, manual and automatic Evapotranspiration (ET) functions, Weather Station functions, and complex schedules. Prerequisite: Completion of Maxicom² Level 1 Software.

Maxicom2® Level 3 Hardware & Software

Advanced Installer Training is the third step for the contractor engaged in the business of central control irrigation system installation. This training includes our highest level of hands-on installation activities with all central control components including the advanced communication protocols covering Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Advanced Spread Spectrum modems as they integrate with the central control system. Additionally, the training focuses on fiber optic fundamentals as well as practical exercises in fiber optic termination and splicing. Water Manager Training is designed for the person engaged in the business of irrigation system management and monitoring. This training covers advanced programming, monitoring and reporting functions common to the business of irrigation water management. Training involves discussions of soil, plant and water relationships and advanced ET based irrigation scheduling. Exercises deal with programming for a water shortage, flow monitoring and reporting, and reaction to environment and atmospheric input. Prerequisite: Successful completion of Maxicom Level 2 Hardware & Software.

SiteControl - Hardware Level 1

Basic Hardware Training is the beginning step for the contractor engaged in the business of SiteControl central control irrigation system installation. This training introduces and defines the role of the system hardware   components. Hands on installation activities with the central controller, Two-Wire-Interface, Large and Small Decoder Interface, Satellite Controllers, Field Decoders and field sensors are included. The participant should
have a working knowledge of the landscape irrigation system including sprinkler, valve, and controller installation.

SiteControl - Hardware Level 2

Intermediate Hardware Training is the next step for the contractor engaged in the business of SiteControl central control irrigation system installation. This training includes all components of the Basic Hardware Training with the addition of the weather station, site rain can, anemometer, and the Freedom and Messenger Systems. Prerequisite: successful completion of SiteControl Level 1 Hardware.

SiteControl - Software Level 1
16 Hours $675 (13500 Rewards Points)
Level 1 Training focuses on the person responsible for the programming, monitoring, and reporting of irrigation operations. This basic class introduces and defines the role of the system hardware components and introduces users to the software and its primary functions related to basic irrigation operation. Emphasis is placed on programming, scheduling, and monitoring the irrigation process. This course requires a working knowledge of Windows 98, 2000, or XP.

SiteControl - Software Level 2
16 Hours $675 (13500 Rewards Points)
Level 2 Training is the intermediate class for the person responsible for the programming, monitoring, and reporting on irrigation operations. This class walks the user through the key points of the start-up process, effectively   integrating Flo-Manager ®, using databases for importing, establishing maps, troubleshooting, and incorporation of “smart” features into programs and schedules. Prerequisite: successful completion of SiteControl Level 1 Software.
