RAIN BIRD GOLF FURTHER ENHANCES RENOVATION FOCUS WITH CUSTOM BOOSTER PUMP STATION LINE

TUCSON, Ariz., (February 9, 2006) – Further leveraging its expertise in water management, Rain Bird Golf introduces a line of custom booster pump stations – designed to specification – for a variety of applications from water features to golf course irrigation.

Available in multiple configurations featuring constant speed or Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), the booster pump features a large, full-color, intuitive touch-screen interface that shows actual water flows and operating conditions and allows for easy pressure setting adjustments. Users can also change the booster pump’s settings or troubleshoot the system via a remote computer through Rain Bird Pump Manager™ software.

Utilizing Rain Bird’s exclusive Smart Pump™ technology allows the booster pump to actually become part of the central control system. Smart Pump provides direct communication between the booster pump and the central control system to adjust pump station demand, optimizing irrigation efficiency and saving superintendents time and money.

Rain Bird is able to customize its booster pumps to precisely fit challenging applications by using cutting-edge, three-dimensional modeling for design. The booster pumps are ideal for irrigation applications needing 100 to 5,000 gallons-per-minute capacities and are available for suction-lift, flooded-suction and pressure boosting applications. On suction-lift applications, an optional self-priming feature is available.
