Q: How do I efficiently water my trees without overwatering my flower beds?

A: Install a Landscape Dripline grid with additional emitters spaced around the trees.

Step 1:
Lay a grid of Landscape Dripline in the flower bed.

Step 2:
Connect 1/4" insert barbs directly into the Dripline.

Step 3:
Attach 1/4" distribution tubing to the barbs and run two lines towards each tree.

Step 4:
Attach the 1/4" lines to flex riser stakes and thread 12" polyflex risers onto the stakes.

Step 5:
Thread PC emitters into the top of the risers. Select an appropriate flow rate to meet your tree's watering requirements.

Step 6:
Space emitter stakes on both sides of the trees for even root growth.

Step 7:
Pop a diffuser cap onto the top of the PC emitter to create a bubbler effect and help prevent washout and runoff.

 

Congratulations!
You now have a drip system that waters your dense flower beds AND your trees in a single zone. Enough water for your trees to develop a healthy root system without overwatering the flowers
