Why work at Rain Bird?
There are a lot of things I like about Rain Bird but the three most important things to me are:

I feel very fortunate to work for Rain Bird because I am empowered to make decisions to do my job successfully. I am very lucky to have a boss who supports my decisions and encourages me to succeed. It is a great feeling to work for a company that makes a quality product and is recognized as the industry leader. As a result, Rain Bird has a strong foundation and continues to grow and be successful.  

How has working for Rain Bird benefited your career growth?
Rain Bird has given me the ability to grow professionally and expand my skill set. Although my job title has not changed, the core functions within my job have and now include marketing, retail sales, international sales and distribution. I continue to take on new responsibilities and expand my horizon within the company.

What are the most important traits to be successful at Rain Bird?
Working at Rain Bird, you must know who your customers are – whether it is an internal or external customer – you cannot lose sight. For me, one of my customers is the distributor who purchases Rain Bird, for someone else it is the vendor from whom they purchase spare parts.   It is very important to be team oriented and work towards the common goal of building and selling Rain Bird.

What are your future goals at Rain Bird?
For the past few years I have been developing many skill sets while working in the Customer Service Department. I have taken on many roles within the group and have volunteered for new projects. I look forward to continuing down this path and accepting new challenges as they become available.

Career Path at Rain Bird:
Prior to being a Senior Customer Service Representative, I was a Customer Service Representative. I have been with Rain Bird over 11 years and all of those years have been in this department. At the beginning of my career at Rain Bird I handled a small territory in the United States and only dealt with Turf product. Today I handle both the Domestic and International’s markets to include all product lines that Rain Bird offers.

What are your top areas of responsibilities or key activities for your current role?

  • I am the CSR for customers in certain international regions.
  • I am the go-to person on the floor when my co-workers/colleagues have questions and need guidance.
  • I train new employees that are hired within the department.
  • I help develop processes that continue to make our department run effectively and efficiently.
