I have always enjoyed a challenge. One of my main criteria in selecting a job and a workplace is opportunity for professional growth and Rain Bird always offers an abundance of this. At Rain Bird I actively seek the chance to accomplish new and ambitious goals that I constantly set for myself. Separately, it’s my observation that Rain Bird always selects top quality candidates to fill open positions and I thoroughly enjoy working with the best and brightest. I enjoy working together striving toward excellence in all we do.
How has working for Rain Bird benefited your career growth?
I always tell my friends that I am a stronger, smarter, more skillful producer than I was prior to joining Rain Bird. I have the confidence to know that I will be successful wherever my career takes me, largely thanks to the growth I have experienced and continue to experience every day.
What are the most important traits to be successful at Rain Bird?
I think it’s important to posses a balance of character traits and skills to be successful at Rain Bird. Among the most important are: expressing yourself well in written and oral communication; being brave enough to say, “I don’t know” when you don’t know, and ambitious enough to find out; knowing your strengths and weaknesses and being driven enough to stretch yourself; having the ability to get along well with and build strong working relationships with a great variety of people possessing skills and educational backgrounds different from your own; and strong organizational skills.
What are your future goals at Rain Bird?
I would like to continue growing professionally at Rain Bird. To me that means being promoted to a senior-level SBU management position and gaining responsibility beyond that of an individual contributor. I am also interested in gaining responsibilities in relation to product manufacturing.
