NEW RAIN BIRD WEB SELECTION
TOOL HELPS SPECIFIERS CHOOSE IDEAL CONTROL ZONE KIT FOR DRIP
APPLICATIONS
GLENDORA, Calif. (April 26, 2006) – With
many types of control zone kits available, Rain Bird has
created a new online Control
Zone Kit Selection Tool, making
it effortless to choose the right control zone kit and components
for each design project or installation. To use this innovative
tool, users go to www.rainbird.com/drip and interactively
answer four simple questions about the project to learn which
type of control zone kit works best for each application.
Once a kit is chosen, users can point and click on the kit
name or kit image to pull up the CAD drawings, specifications
and dimensions, allowing the user to easily integrate the
control zone kit into the project plan.
Designed to be a “one-stop-shop” for drip applications,
Rain Bird offers a complete line of Control Zone Kits that
are designed to meet users’ every need for low-volume
applications. Complete Control Zone Kits provide all the
components for on/off control, filtration and pressure regulation
for low-volume irrigation zones, making them simple to specify,
order and install.
Complete with time-tested, quality Rain Bird parts, Rain
Bird’s Control Zone Kits offer unparalleled reliability
and reduced labor costs with such components as Rain Bird’s
Quick Check Basket Filter, which contains an indicator on
top of the filter that turns red when the filter needs cleaning.
Some kits use the Back Flush Filter, a self-cleaning filter
that provides scrubbing action with every cycle. Also available
is Rain Bird’s Pressure Regulating Filter (PRF). This
compact unit combines two parts into one to reduce the number
of connections and increase reliability because there is
less risk of leaking at the time of installation as well
as over the life of the system.
“With several Control Zone Kit options available to
customers, Rain Bird views its Control Zone Kit Pyramid Selection
Tool as a quick and easy way to determine what type of kit
best fits an application,” said Dave Laybourn, product
manager for Rain Bird’s landscape drip division. “This
innovative tool will save time for Rain Bird’s customers
when they are selecting the most appropriate kit. Once the
best selection is made and the kit is installed, users will
see how the kits can reduce installation time and labor costs
while providing increased reliability and maintenance cost
savings.”
