New Rain Bird® XPCN Series Xeri Pressure
Compensating Nozzle
Offers Ideal Spray Solution for Smaller Spaces
AZUSA, Calif., (March 21, 2007) – The
new Rain Bird® XPCN
Series Nozzle is the industry’s most precise, efficient,
commercial-grade, low volume spray for irrigating small areas. This
flush-mount nozzle adjusts from a two-and-a-half-foot square
to a four-foot square in a single click and its superior
distribution uniformity makes it the only edge-to-edge-capable
nozzle on the market, resulting in excellent soil moisture
content.
The durable and reliable XPCN is designed with standard
spray nozzle threads. This design allows for installation
on any Rain Bird 1800® Series spray head and UNI-Spray™ Series
spray head, Schedule 80 Riser, Xeri-Pop™ Micro Spray
head and Poly Flex Riser (PFR) Assembly (using the new PFR
adapter). Ensuring optimum coverage for non-turf applications
from 20 to 50 psi, its pressure-compensating ability allows
it to emit water virtually mist-free regardless of run length
and even at the maximum operating pressure – a clear
advantage over conventional micro-sprays.
With its true square spray pattern and pressure compensating
capability, the XPCN helps eliminate overspray in smaller
areas caused by spray pattern distortion. This conserves
water and maintains performance even in situations where
you have longer runs and fluctuating water pressure.
“Rain Bird’s new XPCN Nozzles are engineered
to meet a specific need better than any other product currently
available in the market,” said Jim Patrick, Marketing
Manager for Rain Bird’s Landscape Drip division. “Because
it’s designed to work in rectangular or square areas,
the XPCN makes design and installation in these areas simple.”
