EXPANDED FLOW RATES IN RAIN
BIRD® LF SERIES SPRINKLERS OFFER SUPERIOR DISTANCE AND
UNIFORMITY
GLENDORA, Calif. (June
7, 2006) – The Agri-Products Division of
Rain Bird Corporation, the leading manufacturer of irrigation
products and services, is pleased to introduce expanded
flow rates on its Low Flow (LF) Series of agricultural
sprinklers.
The LF Series sprinkler features low scheduling coefficients
that ensure the best Distribution Uniformity (DU) in any
application. The newly introduced LF800 and LF2400 drive
units expand the LF1200’s existing flow rates to a
range of .77 to 3.9 gpm. The LF Series sprinkler can be tailored
to each application for distance, pattern and water pressure
and is designed to optimize distribution uniformity via snap-in
trajectory deflectors and nozzles.
The LF Series Sprinklers combine state-of-the art research
and product development with a focus on performance, efficiency
and cost savings. For farms and other acreages, this series
of Rain Bird sprinklers offer proven cost savings in the
field by reducing power requirements, water usage and the
number of sprinklers required per acre.
Performance innovations and enhanced durability are key
benefits of the Low Flow Series Sprinkler design:
The Patented Ceramic Radial Bearing (CRB) provides a
bearing material superior to all others in agricultural
irrigation
and significantly reduces wear even under the harshest
conditions, eliminating the need for pressurized seals.
A protective plastic drive disc houses the impact point
and
also shields the washer stack and springs from corrosion.
This means wear on the washers is up to 10 times less.
The virtually maintenance-free, four-piece construction
makes assembly, deflector changes and nozzle replacement
a snap.
